Rambling Adventures: Lake Tahoe

In my rush to update my posts earlier (as we FINALLY found fast internet in Tahoe) I failed to post a few pics I wanted to share. The first ..

Taylor and Matt, aka, "Burger Buddies" - not the best quality pic but it's a must share! Toasting with burgers. Sure, why not? It's the "Burger Buddies" way.

Made for a great dinner AND lunch the next day. Best Nachos ever!

Our new friend, Dan, at the hotel was kind enough to inform us that since it is salmon spawning season the bears in the area are very active. Ohhh ... JOY!

Beautiful views, despite the crazy wind and snow whipping into our faces!

We did not see another soul, or footprints, on our entire hike.
Maybe we were just slightly mad to embark on this journey!

Getting beaten by the wind and snow! We made it to the lake and quickly turned around as we couldn't see anything. Great hike though!!

After the hike we stopped at another spot on the way back to the hotel where we were hopeful to see bear catching salmon. No such luck. We passed a family who said they spoke with another group who had seen bear but they didn't have any luck either. Matt snapped a few great pics of the happy ducks in the creek though and I collected monster pine cones. Win Win!

We returned to the hotel to warm up ... my pine cones were happy to warm up too. (Yes, Matt just LOVES having to transport pine cones home. He only wishes I would have collected at least 10 bags more! Bahahaha)

Dinner at a cozy Mediterranean restaurant. Matt just loves having his picture taken in all of these spots. I really snapped this as a reminder for us that SOME DAY (years from now) we must make it to the Mediterranean. Yes. I am planning future vacations already but am realistic that this is well into the future. Relax already co-workers, family, MATT.
